Last week, the KS4 Boys and Girls badminton teams made Lampton proud with a stunning display amongst good opposition across the borough.

The boys performed really well against club, county and regional players and finished 3rd out of 7 teams.

The girls looked a league apart from the very start and only Brentford brought any opposition across the 5 games in total that were played. Beating Brentford in the final , the girls were crowned borough champions once again and we left as a team victorious……..

Below is a brief report from the Girl’s captain, Kiran Sanghere.

What sport requires strength, endurance and wit as well as mental capabilities? None other than the sport of badminton. On Wednesday 14th November the Lampton KS4 girl’s badminton team won for the second time in a row playing five different schools from Hounslow, out of all five schools only Brentford seemed to prove a challenge for us. We won 23/25 of our games and thus making it into the final, however we were then put up against Brentford again and they proved a threat for us, but after a tough few matches we managed to win 3/5 of them and left as borough champions once again.
