In march of this year, a team of year 7 and a team of year 8 pupils managed to get to the final of the “London Hydrogen Car Challenge” after winning their heat just before Christmas. The final took place at the Mayor of London’s Offices and the challenge was to build a hydrogen powered car out of Lego. The team that managed to get their car to travel the furthest won. Unfortunately neither team (named Vergatti and Hydroheat) won, but they did have the opportunity to meet receive their certificate from Deputy Mayor of London Kit Malthouse.
