Year 7 off to a flying start! Over 2700 Central Reward System (CRS) notes issued in the first two weeks! Many of our new pupils made the inaugural ‘Year 7 Roll of Honour’ after being nominated by their teachers for making a positive first impression and will receive 10 CRS’!
Pupils have been working on settling in activities during tutor time including creating a class ‘Learning Charter’ which all pupils must adhere to in order to establish and maintain a positive climate for learning in lessons.
All pupils in Year 7 will be participating in a ‘Listening Skills’ workshop led by the Communications Centre, week commencing Monday 30th September, so parents be prepared to get involved in some speaking and listening activities at home!
If you have any concerns or questions about how your child is settling in, please contact their Form Tutor or myself and we will do our best to deal with your concerns. The Year 7 Parents Evening is scheduled for Wednesday 11th December 2013.
