Overview

At Lampton School we believe that all of our pupils are entitled to receive a broad, balanced and inspiring curriculum.
The approach to designing the curriculum for Lampton School students fulfils our duties in the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014, ensuring that the curriculum is accessible for those with disabilities or special educational needs.
KS3

The curriculum for Years 7, 8 & 9 consists of: English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Religious Studies, Computing, Design and Technology, Art, Drama, Music, Physical Education, and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Citizenship.

Over the course of KS3 students have the opportunity to study Design and Technology areas (Food Technology, Product Design and Textiles). In languages, all students study  French, German or Spanish

KS4

All students in Years 10 & 11 follow the full National Curriculum requirements of English (Language and Literature), Mathematics, Science (double award, or triple sciences), Physical Education, Religious Studies, as well as PSHE and Citizenship.

All students follow 4 further option subjects from: Art, Computing, Drama, French, German, Spanish, Geography, History, Music, Film Studies, Business Studies, Design Technology: Product Design (legacy) or 3D Design, Physical Education, Creative iMedia Certificate, BTEC Travel and Tourism and Health and Social Care.

KS5

Courses are based on A level and BTEC. A levels are currently offered in: Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Product Design, Drama, Economics, English Literature, French, Geography, German, Government & Politics, History, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Film Studies, Religious Studies, Physics, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.

The Extended Project and Core Mathematics are offered as extra AS qualifications.

BTECs are offered in Business Studies, Physical Education and ICT.

GCSE re-takes are available in English and mathematics.
