Essential information
As Lampton School is heavily oversubscribed, if you would like your child to join our school community it's important to follow the process outlined on these pages. Although we are our own admissions authority, In common with nearly all other Hounslow schools, our admissions are handled by the local authority.
If you are applying for entry at the start of Year 7, then please make an application using this form, adhering to the timelines. If you would like to join the waitlist for an in-year admission, please see this form.
Admissions Process
The process of transferring between primary and secondary school begins in the Autumn Term preceding the year of transition.
To help facilitate this process, parents and carers should use the Primary Transfer book and application form issued to their child.
National offer day is Wednesday 1st March 2024. For admissions in September 2024 appeals will be administered by Lampton School Academy Trust.
Lampton School Academy Trust Admissions Consultation
The School Governors’ Admissions Committee of Lampton School Academy Trust (Admission Authority) consulted the local community on our admissions arrangements for the academic year 2021 – 22 and onwards. The consultation ran from Monday 11th November 2019 until Monday January 6th 2020. The feedback on the admissions arrangements was considered by the School Governors’ Admissions Committee of Lampton School Academy Trust (Admission Authority) on Tuesday 7th January 2020. Assuming that there are no changes to our admissions criteria, the next consultation is due to be held in 2026 for the academic year 2028-9.
Appealing for admission in 2024
To appeal for a place at Lampton you will need to contact Mrs Dhir (admissions administrator) on 0208 572 1936 to request an appeal form or you can download the form from the documents below and also please refer to the timeline document which outlines the appeals process for 2024. If Lampton was a higher preferred school then the pupil will automatically be placed on the schools waiting list.
If you did not apply for Lampton in the first instance then you will need to complete a second application form to do so you need to contact Hounslow Admissions offices on 0208 583 2778.
Please note that you cannot appeal for a place at a school for which no application was made.
If you do not recieve the offer of a place at Lampton on 1st March 2024 then please submit your appeal form in full by 31st March 2024.

The admissions arrangements were considered by the School Trustees’ Admissions Committee of Lampton School Academy Trust (Admission Authority) in Janaury 2023 and the arrangements for the academic year 2024-25 were determined. The determined arrangements are in the documents section below along with current and previous years arrangements.
The arrangements have been sent to the Local Authority and are published here on the school website (see end of the page) in advance of the 15th March 2023 deadline.

Open Evenings and Mornings
We hold an Open Evening each Autumn Term when parents, carers and children visit our site and receive a copy of our prospectus. This event includes an introduction from our headteacher, a tour of our facilities and a chance to speak to our staff.
We also run Open Mornings where parents, carers and their children meet our senior staff and have a tour of the school in session.
