Exam Results
Lampton has an excellent track record of examination success. Over recent years, pupils between Years 7 and 11 have made excellent progress and this continued with our most recent cohort of students. In 2024 our provisional progress 8 score is 0.53. This means that the progress of pupils at Lampton School is likely to be defined by the Department for Education as "well above average". In 2024, 53% of pupils achieved a grade 5 or above in English and Maths. This is above the 2023 national average of 45%.
Students also make good progress in Years 12 and 13. In 2024, we have provisionally achieved an Alps Grade 5. Our students’ excellent A level results mean that they go on to study a wide range of subjects, including those in highly-competitive fields such as dentistry and medicine, and do so at prestigious institutions. This year, 5 of our students gained places to study medicine or dentistry and over half of our cohort secured places at one of the Sutton Trust’s Top 30 universities. These universities are statistically the most competitive universities to gain entry to.
