Examination Success

We are a comprehensive Sixth Form with outstanding results – enabling students to make great progress throughout their studies and on to their chosen pathways.

The Sixth Form has been consistently ranked in the top 25% of Sixth Forms for the academic progress students make, enabling them to access the most prestigious universities places and the most competitive apprenticeships and school leaver programmes. Our recent Ofsted report highlighted our sixth form success:

‘Lampton Academy sets high expectations for pupils' behaviour and achievement. Leaders are determined that pupils will excel…… in the sixth form, students reach high levels of achievement. Pupils are ambitious and access a wide range of high quality options for their next stage of education.’

August 2024 Results:

Lampton School students celebrated an excellent set of exam results in August. Three quarters of students were awarded A*-C grades, with 27% of all A-Level grades awarded A*/A and 50% A*-B. This puts Lampton Sixth Form above local averages. 80% of all BTeC entries were awarded either Distinction or Distinction*.

Students have set off to a wide range of destinations - some have taken up offers of places on competitive School Leaver Programmes and most of our students will be heading off to universities such as LSE, UCL, Warwick and Nottingham to read a diverse range of subjects including Law, Optometry, Computer Science and Economics. Five students secured places on Medicine or Dentistry courses and over 50% gained places at the Sutton Trust Top 30 Universities - these are universities that are statistically the most competitive to attend and include the Russell Group institutions.

“These results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work by students and we are very proud of what they have accomplished. I would also like to thank the staff and families who have supported students in their achievements. I wish all of our Y13 students the very best of luck in the future”.

Stephen Davis, Headteacher

“I am delighted by the results achieved by all students, as so many of them have worked so hard to fulfil their potential following years of disruption with the pandemic. We place a real emphasis on developing character traits like a strong work ethic and emotional resilience, and these results prove that our students are among the best in the country. They are also testament to the high quality of teaching and learning provided by our subject specialist staff.”
